Welcome to 7th grade math! I hope you had a good summer, but now it's time to get back in the swing of school. This class will be designed to prepare the students for Algebra and Geometry in both the 8th grade and high school. The material will be based on developing math skills through an introduction of number sense, geometry, measurement, and probability. The focus of class will be on problem-solving, note-taking, and assessment strategies. The ultimate goal is to get students to understand, organize, and achieve a great understanding of functional math processes that can often be applied to real life. As I'm sure you already know, math is a continuous building block as you grow older, so these are important years for students to be able to succeed both now and in the future. I'm looking forward to a great year!
